  Our 14th New York Health Forum will discuss the healthcare investment landscape that has changed significantly after            COVID-19. How have venture capital investors, and strategic investors adjusted to the new normal? This panel features            veteran industry investors who will discuss their investment goals and strategies and how the pandemic has influenced            and shaped their new investment strategy. The life sciences industry has been resilient, with a record number of IPOs              and mega-funding rounds. Investors will play a critical role in how the biotech and pharma industry rebuilds itself.

Kimberly Ha is the founder and CEO of KKH Advisors, a life sciences strategic communications advisory firm. She was previously Senior Director at FTI Consulting, Healthcare Capital Markets Communications, where she advised a broad range of clients from Fortune 500 to early-stage development companies on business transformation, corporate and executive positioning, crisis and issues management, and financial communications. She is a digital health advisor at UCSF Health Hub, Springboard Enterprises, and a Limited Partner at Array Ventures, a SF-based tech VC fund.

Healthcare Portfolio Manager, E Squared Partners

 

Les Funtleyder is a Healthcare Portfolio Manager at E Squared Capital Management where he is responsible for conducting fundamental and valuation analysis of public and private companies within the healthcare industry. He is also a consulting partner to Bluecloud Health, a Sub-Saharan healthcare private equity fund, and is on the board of several healthcare companies and foundations. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Public Health at Columbia. Prior to E Squared, he was the Director of Strategic Investments for Opko Health, Phil Frost's holding company. He also wrote Healthcare Investing : Profiting from the New World of Pharma, Biotech, and Health Care Services (McGraw Hill).

Jack McMackin

Founder, Mission Innovation Network

 

Jack is an investor and advisor working at the intersection of data and venture impact investing, where he is focused on scalable, software-centric solutions to address individuals' unmet needs. He is the Founder and Managing Director of McMackin Advisors and founded and runs an investment model called the "Mission Investor Network," leading individual investors in co-investments alongside top early-stage GPs. Formerly, Jack was a Vice President at PivotNorth Capital and served as a Vice President for the Rockefeller Global Family Office, where he led the firm’s next generation initiative. Jack started his career in investment banking and subsequently built an early robo-advisory tool for millennials. He graduated magna cum laude from Elon University with a B.S. in Business Administration (finance & economics) and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. McMackin sits on the Elon President’s Young Leaders Council and is a member of the Nationswell Council.
